Bottom Of This Glass

I shall not drink deep of the cup this night,

For in the light of morrow, I will be left only with myself

at the bottom of this glass.

Let me leave some of this wine for another night,

Let the ruby-red stay undrunk, like me,

at the bottom of this glass.

Ere I partook in the excess of this nectar,

I thought nothing of the mirrors,

at the bottom of this glass.

Now the clinking is Apollo on his harp,

And the strings are spoilt for choice,

at the bottom of this glass.

My regrets bubble up to the surface,

If I am patient, they will sink and dissolve,

at the bottom of this glass.

The dice is rolled, I lose every time,

But my tributaries are tied to my chariots,

at the bottom of this glass.

If I drink deep tonight, my triumphal arches,

Will be made of sand, the tide will swallow them,

at the bottom of this glass.

So I must sleep, let the ruddy drops seep,

So I must bleed, let the ruddy drops seep,

to the bottom of this heart.

Note: And this completes the Heartweight Trilogy

Favourite bit :)
Also, Heartweight Trilogy? O.o
I'm clearly missing something.

@sushers and the-diarist: Ah, the Heartweight Trilogy is made up by Love-Bomb, After You Left and Botttom Of This Glass.
